Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in Malaysia (4095m a.s.l.) situated in East Malaysia, the state of Sabah, which is also the Northern part of Borneo Island. A complete climbing activity will spend 2 days and 1 night. For a 3D2N package, you will stay a night at the foot of the mountain, namely Kinabalu National Park which is situated at 1866m (above sea level) before starting the climb on the following day. Climbing Mount Kinabalu is not be as tough as climbing the Mount Everest :p. A trekking trail is ready and the escort of an experienced local mountain guide is a MUST while registering this package. Although it sounds 'not difficult' to climb the mountain, many would say it is definitely 'NOT EASY' to reach the summit. The distance from the starting point (Timpohon Gate) to the summit is 7.5km. All climbers must stay a night at the mountain hut hostel at 6km before conquering the summit as early as 2am in the next morning to catch the magnificent sun rise at the highest part of the country. The climbing is tiring but safe. All successful climbers reaching the summit will be awarded a certificate. The number of climbers is limit to 140 persons per day only. Interested climbers from all over the world start booking this package with us a year before their desired climbing date. Hence, please check with us as early as possible before the beds being fully booked.
